In a process lasting several years, ICWRGC has worked with its technical steering bodies to develop a strategy document aimed at sharpening its focus and synergies in its working methods. A further objective is to clarify the role and possibilities of ICWRGC in the complex environment of the United Nations and national responsibilities.
In line with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda, ICWRGC’s strategy is also geared towards the year 2030. Focusing on four phenomena that significantly influence changes in the global water cycle and on the principles of open knowledge, open science and open data, the strategy presents ICWRGC’s visions, missions and strategic goals. To this end, it outlines ICWRGC’s working methods in the strategic environment of policy advice, research and teaching, as well as the operation of data services and the embedding of the ICWRGC in national responsibilities. The brochure provides a clear insight into the work of ICWRGC and is supplemented by a flyer.
