The ICWRGC has a vacancy for a post to help further the sustainable management of global water resources. We are looking for a research assistant specialising in hydrology, water resources management, environmental sciences, earth sciences, agricultural sciences or a comparable field with a focus on hydrology.
The main tasks include:
- Development and acquisition of projects and cooperations within the scope of the international water programmes of UNESCO and WMO.
- Coordinating international and national working groups and networks (e.g. flagship initiatives of UNESCO-IHP, committees dealing with transboundary river basins such as Rhine and Danube).
- Preparing and running workshops, conferences and committee meetings.
- Contributing to reports, position papers and decision-making documents for federal ministries, national specialist authorities and international organisations.
- Working closely with the Director of ICWRGC and the Secretariat of the National Committee on the strategic development of the Centre.
