Synthesis research on the Mediterranean Region in the “Water-Food-Energy” nexus
Our Centre is involved in the management of one of the three working groups of the MedECC initiative. MedECC is to produce an IPCC-like report for the Mediterranean region. However, this report is to deal not only with climate change impacts but also with certain aspects of environmental degradation. About 190 scientists participate in this initiative. Approximately 60 of them are members of our working group on the Water-Food-Energy Nexus. MedECC is supported by the government of Monaco, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and several French institutions.
